Those that attended ChangeFest last month were part of the presentation of the ChangeFest Statement. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of applying a cultural lens across everything we do at Opportunity Child.
A key player in those conversations was Louisa Whettam, who spoke powerfully for indigenous community culture and interests. She worked closely with our CEO Dianne throughout the ChangeFest statement development process and now brings her rich cultural understanding and life experience to Opportunity Child two days a week as Cultural Practice Advisor.
In the role, Louisa will be responsible for embedding the Uluru statement into Opportunity Child’s DNA and helping the Opportunity Child team to apply a cultural lens throughout its work.
